About the winemaker

"Together with our uncle, Gianni Voerzio, we carefully craft the finest wines here in La Morra, the heart of the D.O.C.G. Barolo. During the growing season, we prune the vines by hand up to five times to keep the vineyard’s yield low and ensure that only the best grapes remain, allowing for even ripening. We also harvest by hand and transport the grapes in small crates to prevent rot and oxidation. This care and attention are undoubtedly reflected in the taste of our wines!"

93/100 - James Suckling
This has a fragrant nose of hazelnuts, red plums, wild raspberries and cloves. The tannins are wonderfully creamy, refined and well-integrated, supporting the red fruit well. Medium- to full-bodied and already very drinkable. Drink or hold. Attractive linear red with berry and walnut character. Medium body and a firm and silky finish. More like a Barolo in structure.

One of Italy's most famous wine regions, Piedmont, is located in the northwest of the country. The region is bordered by the Alps to the north and west. The red wines here are made from the Nebbiolo grape, a variety known for its high acidity and tannins—two key factors for wines with excellent aging potential. A soil composition of fine sand, limestone, and clay, combined with south- or southwest-facing slopes, provides ideal conditions for the Nebbiolo grape. However, this grape doesn’t tolerate mist or moisture well. Fortunately, the vineyard for this wine is situated at the top of the hill, where the morning dew quickly dissipates.
