About the winemaker
"Three friends, one thought: making great wines amidst a super favourable terroir in the Loire. Together with my brother Yves and friend Christophe, we run Domaine de Villargeau. We work entirely organically. For now we have the Terra Vitis label and within a year we will be allowed to use the official organic label on our wines."

Coteaux de giennois, France
The Coteaux de Giennois region is also known as the 'rising star of the Loire'. The region is located in the easternmost part of the Loire, just above Sancerre. Its soil is similar to that of the mythical regions of Sancerre, Menetou-Salon and Pouilly-Fumé. This calcareous soil consists of a combination of flint and kimmeridge clay. On this soil, sauvignon blanc flourishes like no other. You taste the characteristic minerality, refined acidity and a slight florality. Sancerre, eat your heart out!
