About the wines
A Rioja is, of course, a must in any tasting box featuring Spanish wines. After extensive testing, we’ve designated winemaker Isaac’s Rioja as the ideal barbecue wine. The box also includes another Spanish red wine: the Algars Tinto, made from garnacha peluda, known for its juicy blue fruit, with a splash of tempranillo to add extra body. From the same region as the Algars Tinto, Terra Alta, there’s also a rich white wine in the box. This garnacha blanca, blended with viognier, is both fresh and spicy. Discover an albariño in the Spanish tasting box as well – a versatile wine, perfect as an aperitif but even better with seafood.
Finally, we’ve added two refreshing wines, ideal as an aperitif or for social gatherings! One of them is a fantastic godello from the small wine region of Bierzo in northwestern Spain, characterized by unmistakable minerality and fresh fruit aromas. Lastly, you’ll find the Bajel Pirata Blanco Alicante in the box. Sisters Ruth and Ana spotlight the lesser-known merseguera grape from the relatively unknown wine region of Alicante.
