About the winemaker

“Our winery is located in the heart of the Yerri Valley, on the famous Camino de Santiago route. Not only is the landscape beautiful, but it also has a unique microclimate that is ideal for growing wine grapes. We are almost obsessive about organic viticulture, so that we can get this fantastic environment into the bottle as purely as possible.”

93/100 Tim Aitkin
‘Viognier and Viura are the main protagonists in this blend which presents a unique offering for the region. This truly feels like a mountain white with very direct and precise acidity that balances the natural ripeness of the Viognier. White peach, pear, and tart apple pie… the palate is generous following its oak fermentation and five months on lees with battonage but its inherent freshness keeps the wine in check. A refined and perfectly balanced wine"

Navarra is perhaps one of the most interesting wine regions in Spain. Once known for its dark rosé, it is now working hard to change this reputation. The first records of viticulture in the region date back to the time of the ancient Romans, but it is likely that wine has been grown here for much longer. Vines of the prehistoric species Vitis sylvestris, the ancestor of today's wine grape, Vitis vinifera, have recently been discovered in Navarra. After the Romans, viticulture continued under the Moors, and then expanded greatly under Christian rule. The demand for wine was boosted by Catholics making the pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago to the shrine
