About the winemaker
“Years ago I was co-owner of a successful wine distributor. However, in 2013 I decided to realize our dream together with my wife and take over a small wine estate. I also make wines for a group of hobby farmers. By blending red and white grapes into one wine, you can make the ideal summer red wine: nice and juicy, full of red fruit and refreshing!"

Cebreros, Spain
Although the small village of Cebreros only managed to obtain its own DOP in 2019, it is quickly gaining popularity among wine lovers. The small area covers just two valleys surrounding one mountain range, west of Madrid. The vineyards are all between about 700-1100 meters altitude. The soil here consists of granite and slate. These are poor soils, so the vines have to work hard. To find enough nutrition, the sticks root deeply. This is also the reason that many really old vines can be found here, often from before the great phylloxera pandemic, all from the red Garnacha and Albillo Real grapes. All this ensures quantitatively low yields, but with a lot of concentration. In recent years, a number of dynamic winemakers have settled in the region, giving the region an enormous boost.
