Simoncelli Pinot Bianco
The local sommeliers in Trentino highly recommend winegrower Paulo. He makes a Pinot Bianco like we have never drunk before: refined and elegant, but also complex, full of blossoms, herbs and soft minerals.

About the winemaker
“My family has been growing wine grapes for more than 200 years. Yet it was my father, Armando, who decided in 1977 to no longer sell the grapes to the local cooperative but to start making wine under our own name. The company is located in "Navesel", an ancient port on the Adige, just southwest of Rovereto in Vallagarina. The valley floor and the damming of the river have created fertile land. The vineyards have an ideal environment to develop and produce high-quality grapes.”

Trentino, Italy
On holiday to Italy you cannot actually ignore Trentino, as it is home to the famous Brenner Pass.Yet not everyone will know that the 'Strada dei Vini' can also be found here. A long string of vineyards that runs from Bolzano to Trentino. Here it is sunny 300 days a year and surprisingly warm with an average temperature of 18 degrees. The steep mountain slopes are not only beautiful, but also very fertile and ensure that the grapes can take maximum advantage of the plenty of sunshine. The temperature differences between day and night give the grapes their special taste. In terms of viticulture, it is a very traditional area, where many farmers still sell the grapes to local cooperatives. Fortunately, there are also some unruly winemakers who show how beautiful the wines from this area can be!
