About the winemaker
“Our wine estate is located right on the Serein River, the lifeblood of Chablis. My family has been making wine here for 13 generations (since 1590), making us one of the oldest wine families in Chablis. However, this doesn't stop us from exploring new paths. The grapes for this wine come from vineyards further south. While we make the wine in the same way, the result is richer than our Chablis, but still typically Burgundian.”

Bourgogne, France
Burgundy is located about two hours southeast of Paris. This wine region spans approximately 150 kilometers and represents only 3% of French wine production. However, when you talk about terroir, you're talking about Burgundy. Few wine regions in the world emphasize the differences between microclimates, locations, and vineyards as strongly as this world-famous wine region. Additionally, each individual winemaker has their own unique style. All of this makes the wines from this region among the most sought after in the world. Burgundy has many fans. We are big fans of the wines from the Bordet family. They usually produce wine in the northern region of Chablis. The soil there is full of prehistoric minerals, making the wines crisper than in the other areas of Burgundy. Recently, winemaker Jean-Francois has also started making wine slightly further south, just outside the borders of Chablis. Here, he has created a whole new calling card for his company: his Bourgogne Blanc. This wine is somewhat fuller and richer than his famous Chablis, but it still maintains the same elegance, minerality, and tension.
