The Rhône Valley can be divided into two parts. The southern and the northern part. Experts agree; some of the best wines in the world are produced in the northern Rhône. Although the Rhône is known for its red wines, the white wines from Condrieu are also among the international top. This tiny area covers a total of only 170 hectares of vineyards. Characteristic are the extremely steep slopes on which the grapes are planted. This makes mechanical work impossible and the farmers have to do all the work by hand. In recent years, the region has experienced a real renaissance. The abundantly ripe and rich style has been exchanged by a new generation for a style with more elegance and finesse.
