Good rosé does not only come from Provence. For example, winegrower David makes the warm Languedoc rosé exactly the way he likes it; juicy, full of raspberry, wild strawberries and typical garrigue.

About the winemaker

"As a child, I accompanied my father and grandfather into the vineyards. I knew that one day I would follow in their footsteps, but they encouraged me to explore other career options first. I studied business administration and became a manager in the supermarket sector. In 2005 I succeeded my father as winemaker and restored the old family wine cellars. When you walk through my vineyards you smell the garrigue, which are the scents of thyme, rosemary and lavender Southern France that you recognize in this wine.”

The vineyards in the Languedoc are often compared to a patchwork, because so many different grape varieties are planted together. Everything revolves around making the perfect blend. In this case of Cinsault, Grenache and Vermentino. The Cinsault and Grenache are of course red grapes that provide a lot of fruit and concentration in the wine. Winemaker David blends this with the white Vermentino. This gives the wine structure and a lot of freshness.
