About the winemaker
"In 2009, I took over my family's old vineyards. My mission is clear; to work with the lowest possible impact on the environment. Therefore, we work exclusively organically and we harvest everything manually. Fermentation takes place spontaneously and then this wine is aged 'sur lie' for another 6 months in temperature-controlled barrels."

Umbrië, Italy
Grechetto (pronounced gre-kè-to) is the most commonly planted grape variety in Umbria. Grechetto originally comes from Greece. It was not until the late 20th century that it gained its reputation as a quality grape, and today it is considered one of the most delicate grape varieties in central Italy. Its thick skin makes it resistant to mildew, which serves it well when there is fog in the Umbrian hills. The thick skin also allows it to ripen for a long time, giving it spicy aromas and often tasting something 'nutty' like almond and hazelnut.
