Domaine de Pieblanc Beaumes de Venise
Rhone, France
Grenache, Syrah
Beaumes de Venise was once known for its sweet wine. However, now it's the red wine that takes center stage. Rhône wines don't get more refined than this; the combination of juicy dark fruit, body, and a creamy structure is unique.

About the winemaker
"I grew up in Cornas, in a family of bon vivants. My brother had already found his passion early; he became a chef. It took me a bit longer. After a career in telecom, I decided in 2014 to, like my brother, engage in things that truly make life more enjoyable. That's why I returned to the Rhône Valley to make real terroir wines."

Rhone, France
The village of Beaumes-de-Venise is located to the east of the town of Orange, along the Rhône River. It's close to the wine villages of Gigondas and within walking distance of Vacqueyras. To top it off, Chateauneuf-du-Pape is just 16km away. In this red wine region, Beaumes de Venise was for a long time a bit of an outlier. It became famous for its sweet wines made from the Muscat grape, known as Muscat-de-Beaumes-de-Venise. This aromatic sweet wine was a popular French aperitif for a long time. However, a lot has changed in this region in recent years. Since 2005, a special appellation has been established for red wines made from the Syrah and Grenache grapes. This decision was made because the quality of red wines was rapidly improving. The Mediterranean climate and rolling hills make it an ideal combination for producing high-quality wines.
