Buchmayer Grüner Veltliner
Naturally made, but with Austrian precision, that is Thomas' wine. For generations, his family has been growing organic wine in the Weinviertel region. Very precise, with beautiful acidity, floral notes and a delicate peppery finish.

About the winemaker
"As a family business, we build on the experience of generations. We combine this with the latest techniques available. This is how we get to the essence of better understanding and working with nature. The basis for our wines is vibrant soil. By cultivating it organically, using no pesticides and planting a wide variety of flowers, we get grapes with finesse and character. "

Weinviertel, Austria
The Weinviertel is Austria's northernmost and largest wine region. Here, between the Danube and the Czech border, it is true Grüner Veltliner country. As much as 50% of the vineyards are planted with the grape. Despite the fact that it may not be the most well-known area, it is a super interesting one. Many vintners are small, family-run vineyards that have been making wine for generations. Each family has its own terroir and each has its own way of making wine. As a result, many different styles of Grüner Veltliner come out of the Weinviertel, from aromatic to light and fresh. But red wines from the Weinviertel are also becoming increasingly popular. For instance, Blaufränkish, Zweigelt and Pinot noir are now also planted there. With the arrival of a new generation of winemakers, the Weinviertel really is an area to keep an eye on!

Heerlijke Grüner Veltliner! Perfect voor bij risotto met groene asperges. Ik kom binnenkort hier zeker voor terug.

Sterk grapefruit in geur. Ook in de smaak grapefruit, een bittertje zonder astringent te zijn. Ook peper, bijzondere wijn!
