About the winemaker

“My brother and I grew up in our parents' restaurant. Not surprising, we also ended up in the hospitality industry after that. My brother started working as a chef and I became a sommelier. Eventually, I was even named the best sommelier in Spain and the second best in the world. When my brother asked me to start making wine together, I didn't have to think twice. I knew right away: we have to do this project."

Prachtig wit.

Valencia, Spain
Already in the 5th century AD, the Phoenicians planted the first grapevines in the area around Valencia. However, the DOC (Designation of Origin) was only established in 1957. The region covers the entire Mediterranean coastline south of Barcelona. The soil here is a mix of limestone, sand, and clay. From the warm beaches, the terrain gradually rises, and the climate takes on more continental characteristics. Bruno Murciano's winery is located in Utiel-Requena, at an altitude of 850 to 950 meters above sea level. This altitude gives the wines an unmistakably fresh style. The old vines here turned out to be a special blend of ancient, lesser-known, yet local grape varieties. It's this unique blend of grape varieties that infuses Bruno Murciano's winery with the rich history and character of Valencia.

Full of minerals and either very little or no oak. Very fresh, could also be drunk a bit chilled.
