About the winemaker
"The albariño grape is a real diva in the vineyards. This is because it has a thick skin that makes it difficult to ripen. It is also very susceptible to rot. To prevent diseases, we prune the vines a lot higher than in many other areas. This allows the fresh sea breeze to blow through the vineyards, basically like a hairdryer for the grapes. The fine saltiness the wind brings is an added bonus."

Rías baixas, Spain
The Rías Baixas is located in the southern part of Galicia, just above Portugal. Most of the vineyards are close to the wild, green coast, so the vines can withstand the inclement sea climate and sometimes heavy rain. The entire region produces almost only white wine. The vines stand on soils of limestone, chalk and rocky rubble, so there is always a lot of minerality in the wines. This wine comes from Condado do Tea. This area lies a little further inland, so the Romans were already growing wine here. It's an area where you see a lot of good albariño. The grape has a thick skin, allowing it to withstand the strong sea winds and bright sun.
